It was a day of healing for Lodge 1923. Our hearts were on our sleeves as John dedicated this day to Ben and to all parents who had unimaginable losses this past year. We held a moment of silence as this event was a favorite of Ben's. Sue and George shared their path of loss and continued recovery. It was so impactful. Thank you volunteers, players and spectators for making it so special. Thank you to Sueritos for serving up love one burrito at a time. Thank you to those who donated raffle baskets. The cornhole competition was fierce. Congratulations to Scott and Ted for winning it all!

From the opening ceremony to the croissants and éclairs, such a fun day at the Lodge celebrating the Paris Olympics. Congratulations to our gold, silver and bronze medal winners. We didn’t have blocks for them to stand on but we made it work. We had 5 events also seen in the summer Olympics. Beam. Equestrian. Golf. Basketball. Archery. Our versions of course. Thank you to those who competed and to our spectators. Great memories created today for all.

Shoutout to this amazing crew for an amazing evening! This group planned, organized and executed a wonderful event. A full lodge and full bellies. A recipe generations in the making, great fellowship and a fabulous evening.

Our 8th annual Summer Solstice Party was a hit! Thank you to all who attended and helped celebrate summer in style. Thank you to DJ Mike for creating a fabulous island vibe while sprinkling in tons of fan favorites. Thank you to the event volunteers from setup to running the actual event. It was a lot. Triple threat right here! Huge shoutout to Dru, Mayya and Troy for organizing and executing a wonderful cigar and bourbon event last week for our Lodge. Rave reviews across the board. Keep watch for a date in July via newsletter. Membership has its perks!

Thank you you North Hill Euchre League for planning, organizing and executing something so cool for so many for this 2024-10 week season. It all lead up to last night’s banquet and award presentation. The banquet was outstanding. The food was off the chart. “Grill your own steak’ was so fun. It takes time and effort to make this all come together and you do it with a smile. Our Lodge appreciates the camaraderie and its plus it’s just a good time for all. Cheers to this season’s victor Joey!

The food was amazing. The view was amazing. And as always Elks and guests of Elks were amazing. Thank you to Troy, Dru & Sarah the little planning committee for organizing and executing the event. Troy is the MVP. His perfectly timed playlist was outstanding. He could’ve downloaded someone else’s, but nope, he took the time to make it extra awesome. When the sun was reappearing and the song “Here comes the Sun” started to play, folks officially got the effort he put in. He also installed new speakers outside to make the sound wonderful. The fried milky ways and other celestial themed delights were a hit. Thirsty Dog Eclipse beer was a great touch, along with all the drink specials. Shoutout to Trish our bar manager! Ohio gave us glorious weather and we capitalized on it. See you in 2044 for the next one!

Ladies night was a blast, thank you to all who came, helped out and made the night so fun. We celebrate everyone everyday at Lodge 1923. Thank you Maya for your planning and execution to create a cool evening at Lodge 1923. And thank you April, Dru, Linda and Sue for your work in making it a success. Thank you Aphrodite for your awesomeness in keeping the bar running smoothly. And speaking of celebrating Elks, happy happy birthday Sue Tarr!
